Practical Work in Modern Styles
from the cycle «Modern Styles»Modern interior design does not adhere to rigid style frameworks or canons. This is the fundamental distinction between modern «living» styles in interior design and historical ones.
A three-hour course on modern styles introduces a new classification and explores the eight main modern styles from a practical design perspective. The lecture delves into the fundamental techniques and methods of various modern styles, providing stylistic guidelines. This enables designers not to merely replicate trendy projects in Loft or Vintage styles from a magazine but to create their own unique works.
The program, developed by Victor Dembowski, is an original creation based not on a historical culture overview but on an analysis of contemporary global design practices and the world's largest design exhibitions, such as iSaloni in Milan, Maison & Objet in Paris, and IMM Cologne in Cologne.
